Delivery & Returns

Our in-house expert delivery team install all furniture packages throughout Portugal and Spain to ensure the service we offer from initial enquiry to first occupancy meet the high standards we expect.

Deliveries of individual items and smaller orders within the Algarve are made by our in-house team who offer free installation and packaging removal*. Deliveries outside of the Algarve and to Spain are made through our transport partners on a doorstep drop shipment basis so some assembly may be required for certain items.

  • For orders of smaller items such as linen and accessories, with a value less than € 100, please contact the showroom to confirm delivery cost.

If installation and packaging removal is required outside of the Algarve please just ask for a price as we try to accommodate all customer requests.

Our aim is to have all orders delivered as quickly as possible so our customers can enjoy their purchases without delay. Orders which are in stock are scheduled for delivery on receiving the order and in the majority of cases delivered within 48 hours within Portugal and 7 days within Spain.

Delivery Hours

Deliveries by both our in-house team and our transport partners are made Monday to Friday (excluding public holidays) between the hours of 9.00am and 6.00pm.

Not at your property?

If you are unable to be at your property and receive the delivery we are happy to arrange access through a key holder, solicitor or agent and deliver your order on a scheduled date.

If you have any additional questions, please contact us from 9:30am to 6:00pm Monday to Friday and 10:00am to 5:00pm on Saturday.

If you require your goods sooner, you may collect them or ask for collection directly at our warehouse in Lagos, after the purchase is complete..

Lead times for individual order items are indicated on the website. For furniture packages we suggest placing your order 6-10 weeks before installation to enable collation of all longer lead time items prior to organising the delivery.

Returns Policy

  1. If you wish to cancel or return an order please contact us through this website or in writing by email to info@furnishyourabode.com or registered letter to the Company address.
  2. Subject to our cancellation and returns policies we will refund the cost of the order and the original delivery charge.
  3. The cost and organisation of returning product(s) is the responsibility of the purchaser. The Company may be able to organise collection subject to agreeing costs and receiving payment prior to uplifting the goods.
  4. Except for products listed as “Exceptions” and in accordance with the article 6 of Decree-Law nr. 143/2001, items that were purchased from stock and not ordered specifically for the client, are returned within 14 days of receipt, are in their original packaging, complete with all accessories and instructions, have not been used or assembled and are in a fully resaleable condition will be applicable for a full refund.
  5. Abode reserves the right to refuse a refund for any item that is not deemed resaleable for any of the reasons detailed above. Refunds are subject to Abode’s order cancellation policy. Should the packaging not be suitable for resale but the contents be in perfect unused condition a repacking charge of €30 per box will be deducted from the refund.
  6. When an item is delivered either by our in-house team or by our transport partner the boxes and contents should be fully checked before signing the delivery note. Should the product be delivered by our transport partner and the packaging show obvious signs of damage the delivery should be refused and returned.
  7. You have the right to return items whenever they present manufacturing defects, detected within the relevant warrantee period. If the defect is reported within 48 hours of receipt where possible Abode will organise collection and replacement of the product however this cannot be guaranteed as we do not hold stock of all items and it may be necessary to order a replacement item.
  8. Refunds will be paid within 14 days of receipt into our warehouse and following receipt of a signed credit note equal to the value of the refund.
  9. If you receive an incorrect item please report this with 48 hours of receipt and rectify the error at our cost or if not possible arrange collection of the item and issue a full refund.
  10. The following “Exceptions” may not be returned for a refund or exchange unless a manufacturing defect covered under the terms of the warrantee is detected:
    • Mattresses not in their original sealed packaging;
    • Bedding including linen, protector, towels, duvets and pillows once their original packaging has been opened;
    • Bespoke and personalised items such as made to measure furniture, upholstered items, window dressings and fabric cut to length.
