At Abode, we are committed in our support of both our local community and the environment in the Algarve.

  • We are passionate about our environmental responsibilities. All the packaging and waste generated by our property refurbishments and furniture installations is separated into material categories then delivered to the EGF recycling centre. Mixed material items that are unsuitable for recycling are removed by the Local Authority and disposed of in accordance with local environmental legislation - helping to minimise our environmental impact.

  • Madrugada is a Palliative care centre based in Praia da Luz and supporting the entire Western Algarve. Our support for this charity includes donations of old furniture, which we remove as a service to our clients – it´s a great way for our clients´ replaced furniture to have a new lease of life and for us to help raise needed funds for this amazing organisation.

  • The Mayday Dog Sanctuary, located on the west coast of the Algarve, can also benefit from old, unwanted furniture by providing the many rescue dogs with some home furnishings of their own while they wait for their ´forever homes´.

  • We have worked with TACT (Tomorrow Algarve Charity Trust) since its inception. Our support of their many fundraising and awareness events contributes to the fantastic work they do for local charities such as CASLAS and the NECI Children’s homes.

Madrugada offers support throughout illness and beyond, to people in the Algarve who are affected by a life limiting illness. Our specialist clinical team provide homebased end of life care to those who prefer to spend their remaining days in their own home.

TACT is a non-profit charity trust. Their aim is to raise funds and help build awareness for local causes in the Algarve, working in partnership with local communities, organisations and people in need. Improving today, for a better tomorrow.
